Submitting and checking on the status of rent supplements is one of the main services my office provides. According to the CBC Nova Scotia, at the end of March there were 1,016 people waiting to hear if they will be approved, compared to 55 six months prior.
Here I am in the Public Accounts Committee of the Nova Scotia Legislature asking about the delays to approving people’s rent supplement applications and the change in the eligibility requirements which mean less people qualify.
